A while back, Tess was invited to a Fancy Nancy Gala with some of her best girls. She needed to get all dolled up and wanted her hair the way Nancy wears it way up high on her head. We had a problem, the underside of Tess's hair is short...way too short to be pulled up so high without most of it falling...

Front French Braid into Two Ponytails
I love combining elements. In this one I did a Dutch braid (inside out French braid) from her part to her ear along her hair line. Then I curled all of the hair that was left down, parted it down the middle and pulled the Dutch braid into one half in a ponytail and pulled the other side into a ponytail....

Soft and a little more grownup.
My girl is growing up. She is throwing her locks in with the likes of HSM and Hannah Montana. She wants the soft curls and the trends. Which is okay with me, so long as she lets me braid it once in a while. We started out with dry hair. I curled the ends and teased all around her crown. Then we pulled...

Upside Down Knots
I can't believe that I haven't shown this one before. I love this one because my girls don't have a lot of natural body...we have to fake it. I pull the hair up into two ponytails. I take my rattail comb and slide it under the middle of the ponytail and pull the elastic out just a bit. I then stick...

Ready for Church
This is a French braid from her part and then secured and pulled into a ponytail. This is one of our standbys for church. I like their hair to look nice and sleek for church.Sorry about the blur. It isn't always easy catching a picture of a busy 3-year old. We did two knots in the front half of her...

High ponytails for the hair impaired
My baby has short hair and I keep it short until all of her layers grow together (I have issues with scraggly baby hair). I wanted to have two ponytails on the top of her head one day so this is what I came up with. Make sure her hair is VERY wet and use lots and lots of hairspray. But the result is...
